Science, technology and engineering are basic skills expected by employers. Science fairs involve students in the practices of science and engineering, requiring them to apply those skills to a topic of interest to them. Doing science is key to understanding science. From CDOT regarding the Highway 167 project: "The work in front of the Jr/Sr High School is anticipated to occur for 2-3 days during the week of Nov. 26, as long as the weather cooperates and crews are able to begin according to schedule. Work will occur between the school's entrance and exit, and drop off's and pickups may be impacted by single, alternating traffic lane closures on Grant Ave. The team has a traffic control plan in place to alleviate traffic during peak travel times, and they will do their best to conduct work with as little inconvenience as possible. The project will move east down Grant Ave. after finishing work in front of the school." Please allow extra time (and bring extra patience) for dropping off & picking up during the week after Thanksgiving! More info at: https://bit.ly/2RUZqms

The Colorado Secretary of State’s office recently approved Amendment 73 for the November 2018 ballot. This is the first statewide education revenue measure developed by a large and diverse coalition to help communities like ours benefit from Colorado’s economic growth. No other bill or voter measure in Colorado history could do more to support local school districts and economies than this proposal. I am asking you to learn about this measure and consider giving it your strong support. https://bit.ly/2QhUEP1. Thank you!
